The 7-5 Rocky Mountain win over Niagara Falls was due largely to Valentín Vargas. The Vibes right fielder went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Manuel Javier came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Rocky Mountain is now 34-23.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 21-year old second baseman Wilbert Bradley. Bradley had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vibes ahead, 6-5. For the game, Bradley had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I still think this team can play even better," Vargas told the Rocky Mountain Chronicle.
