Buckley Helps Manatees Defeat Chukars, 7-3
The Matlacha Manatees beat the Idaho Falls Chukars, 7-3, at Fuller Park. The Manatees got a fine performance from catcher Ken Buckley, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was José Archuletu. He tossed 116 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The third-place Manatees have won 4 straight games.
