Thornburg goes 3-for-4, Leads Chiefs to Win
A 4-RBI performance from the 21-year old catcher Keith Thornburg helped the Caldwell Chiefs beat the Mancelona Torch, 9-2. Caldwell pitcher Hisanobu Harada earned the win, hiking his record to 1-4. Troy Walker suffered the loss. At 28-32, the Chiefs find themselves in 10th place in the Menard's A.

With Caldwell leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Thornburg hit a 2-run single off Mancelona hurler Troy Walker. It was the 15th hit of the season for Thornburg and put his team ahead, 3-0.

"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said Thornburg. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."
