Morris, who dominated for Matlacha, earned the victory to move to 3-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 8. Pontiac batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I'm happy we won," said Morris. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
