Airmen Lose 2-1 Decision to Huntington
The Huntington Hermit Crabs used a great performance from Randy Pierce, who is tied for 3rd in the 3A in innings pitched with 95.0, to beat the Alameda Airmen, 2-1, at The Shell. Miguel López earned the save, his 17th, for the Hermit Crabs. The 4th-place Hermit Crabs hiked their record to 34-29.

The Hermit Crabs got a big at-bat from designated hitter Geldegarde Monotoli. For the game, Monotoli was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Huntington a 2-1 lead.

"Tough loss," said Alameda manager Gonzalo Féliz. "But we'll learn from it."
