Monotoli Launches 2 Dingers, But Laredo Wins
The Laredo Hawks withstood an impressive performance by Huntington first baseman Geldegarde Monotoli to defeat the Hermit Crabs, 9-6, at Hawks Field. Monotoli was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Cristovão Mineiro earned the save for Laredo, his 4th. The Hawks move to 35-31 with the win, while the Hermit Crabs drop to 40-26.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Kane Fullalove had a game-changing hit. The Hawks designated hitter slammed a run-scoring single off César Contreras, making the score 7-6, Laredo.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager José Gato.
