The Long Island Lighthouse faced a tough opponent in Hollywood pitcher Alex Thompson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Lighthouse by a final score of 5-4. Thompson went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The Lighthouse raised their record to 38-70.
Long Island took the lead, 5-4, on Feitze Lammers's 17th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Hollywood pitcher Huibert Illidge in the bottom of the seventh.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Lammers.
