Stingers Suffer 9-4 Road Loss
|
The Hollywood Shredders trumped the Toledo Stingers, 9-4, at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood catcher Stanley Johnston was terrific. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Roy Huntingford got the win, improving to 7-8. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Hollywood.
Tony Taylor, the Hollywood center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 3-1, Shredders. For the game, Taylor went 2-4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.
"Nice win for us," said Johnston. "Now we'll go after the next one."
