Cloverdale Legion Park was the site of the home opener for the Kingston Township Knights. The contest featured a prime matchup between Carlos Sandoval of the visiting Detroit Elite and Rodrigo García of the Knights. The final score was 6-3, the Elite getting the win. Rodrigo García turned in the best performance. Jim Hicks, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Detroit used the clutch hitting of Victor Fleming to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Elite the lead, 4-3. For the game, Fleming had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
Fleming said his team "played with focus."
