Fans of the Las Vegas Flamingos who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Las Vegas win over the visiting Montana Pandas, 7-5. Gilberto Malfeito started for the home team against J.R. Snow. Ernesto Vázquez earned accolades for his performance.

Las Vegas took the lead, 7-5, on Allen Harris's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Montana pitcher Dermot Chave in the bottom of the eighth.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams.
