Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Las Vegas Flamingos were eager to watch Júlio Mora square off against Jason Kofod of the visiting Montana Pandas. In the end, the Flamingos won the game, 5-0, with Júlio Mora leading the way.

Montana had a runner on 3rd in the top of the sixth. With two out, Jerry Cure stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he flied out. The score remained 1-0, Las Vegas. The Pandas never could mount a comeback.
