Liberty Collect 6-5 Win Over Rock City
|
The Philadelphia Liberty ushered in the 2061 season with a win versus the Detroit Rock City at Liberty Park. The final score was 6-5 in 10 innings. First Baseman Bartolo Rojas had a standout performance. Philadelphia reliever Dick Hill was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Daniel Haney.
Nick Coleman clinched the win with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the tenth. In the game, the Philadelphia center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 2.
