With first baseman Bryan Rivers leading the charge, the Huntington Hermit Crabs defeated the Matlacha Manatees, 7-6, at The Shell. Rivers went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The 5th-place Hermit Crabs now have a record of 39-33.

Rivers contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Huntington in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Rivers took a slider from Thad Willis and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Hermit Crabs to leap in front, 4-3.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Rivers told the Huntington Chronicle.
