Good production from catcher John Thomas helped the Chicago Tula topple the Mancelona Torch, 11-10. Thomas was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Tula. At 38-35, the Tula claim 6th place in the Menard's A.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Chicago trailing 10-8, Yoshihide Sato hit a sinker from Eugene Blake for a 3-run home run, giving the Tula the walk-off win.

"What we get, we earn," Thomas told the Chicago Daily News.
