Generals Clip Walleye, 4-3
|
Walla Walla first baseman George Tennyson had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Washington at Washington Park. Tennyson went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. Washington reliever Joe Burkett picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Ryan McDaniel took the loss. The Walleye, now 36-37, have lost 4 straight.
Ray Wells drove in one run against the Walleye. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Washington in front, 3-2.
"I really like what we did out there today," Wells said after the game.
