Blue Dragons Win with Late Rally

The Levittown Blue Dragons had to overcome a big game from Belleville left fielder Curt Clayton to leave The Cave at Levittown with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5, in 12 innings. Clayton went 2-3 with a double and 3 walks. Don Smith, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-6. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. Levittown is last in the Menard's A with a record of 28-47.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 21-year old catcher Dave Keller had a chance to be the hero. Belleville pitcher Gunner Laird had other ideas. But with no outs, Keller hit a sacrifice fly. The Blue Dragons had themselves a dramatic win.
"We earned that one," said Keller.
