Yucca Valley Scrapes Out 4-0 Win
|
Colt Cleveland, who is tied for 4th in the 3A in wins with 7, propelled his team to victory over the Rocky Mountain Vibes. The final score was 4-0, Yucca Valley. Lieh Guang got credit for the save for Yucca Valley. It was his 1st of the year. With the win, the Yellows have a record of 39-36.
Yucca Valley used the clutch hitting of Owen Roméro to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yellows ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"Colt's as tough as he is talented," said Yucca Valley manager Chaim Werkman.
