The Philadelphia Liberty launched their 2062 campaign with a victory over the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Liberty Park. Philadelphia shortstop Júlio Cruz was instrumental in the 12-1 win. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4.

Loflinger Theissen was 1 for 4 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Philadelphia. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Pat Butler. It was his 1st hit of the season.
