Manatees Pull Out Late-Game Win, 7-6
|
With designated hitter Mark Jones leading the charge, the Matlacha Manatees defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 7-6, at Fuller Park. Jones went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Manatees record stands at 34-42.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Jones hit a fastball from Luis Muñóz for a run-scoring single. The Manatees, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
