The Rocky Mountain Vibes took Mancelona pitcher Jack Jones's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Torch Field. The final score had Rocky Mountain getting past the Torch, 9-6. Jones went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 1. Seung Pak collected save number 21.

Rocky Mountain used the stroke of Eric Richards to get the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Vibes ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Richards said. "We did a good job of that today."

The Vibes raised their record to 43-34.
