The Mancelona Torch defeated the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-1, in M3L Single A action at Torch Field. Mancelona pitcher Bryan Wallace had a standout performance. Mancelona is now 36-42.

The Torch got an important contribution from catcher Héctor Pérez, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a 2-1 fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Torch ahead, 4-0.

"Bryan pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Mancelona manager Kevin Hancock.
