The Levittown Blue Dragons could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jason Herbert into a win. Instead, the Niagara Falls Expos prevailed, 2-0, in 10 innings. Herbert threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. Horácio Kaisin locked down his 6th save. The Expos saw their win-loss record go to 45-34. At the same time, the Blue Dragons fell to 29-50.

Cy Curry had a direct impact on the outcome. Curry contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the tenth inning to put Niagara Falls up, 1-0.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Curry. "I like it."
