The Alaskan Bush Pilots did just enough to sneak past the Matlacha Manatees, 5-4, at Bush Pilots Park. Alaskan pitcher José Abonga, in particular, had a standout performance. Abonga yielded 3 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-7. Richie Davis earned the save for Alaskan, his 17th.
Grady McCarty, the Alaskan left fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 4-3, Bush Pilots. For the game, McCarty was 2-5 with 2 singles.
