Caldwell Chiefs starter Jerry Armstrong turned in a top-notch performance against the Laredo Hawks at Pipers Ballpark. The result was a win for the Chiefs, 4-2. George Harris was called on to finish, recording his 19th save. After today's action, Caldwell sits at 38-42; Laredo slips to 49-31.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Pedro Paredes had a game-changing hit. The Chiefs left fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Hou-kang Wu, making the score 3-1, Caldwell.
