Plorn Dickens played a key role in a gritty 2-1 Idaho Falls Chukars win against the Belleville Bulls. Miguel Ortíz nailed down his 9th save. The Chukars are now 37-44.

Rory Carr had a big solo home run for the Chukars in the top of the sixth inning. With Idaho Falls leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Lorenzo Cortéz and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Chukars on top, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Dickens said after the game.
