Blue Dragons Win, 7-4, in Extra Frames
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons beat the Washington Generals by a score of 7-4. Levittown center fielder Egor Karakai deserved the lion's share of the credit. Karakai went 2 for 7 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Blue Dragons. Levittown reliever Juan Soto picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Scott Mitchell was saddled with the loss. The Blue Dragons are now 31-51, while the Generals fall to 31-51.
Karakai had a game-changing home run in the top of the 15th. On a 1-0 changeup from Scott Mitchell, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Blue Dragons a 7-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Karakai.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Karakai.
