Matlacha registered a win at The Shell by beating the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 8-1. Pitcher Chris Lee was one reason why the Manatees triumphed. The winner was Lee. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Dan Pittman. The 11th-place Hermit Crabs now sit at 32-50.

Matlacha used a well-timed hit by Manny García to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Manatees ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
