Lighthouse Get Clutch Win, 2-1
|
Long Island starter Aaron Daniels pitched well against the New Orleans Voodoo at The Voodoo Lounge. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1, in 12 innings. The loss lowers the New Orleans record to 7-4.
Jerry Cure came through with a big-time hit for Long Island. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Aaron executed his pitches at a high level," said Long Island manager Michael Esposito.
