Pontiac Tags Matlacha with 3-1 Defeat
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Pontiac Godfathers and the Matlacha Manatees. Pontiac won it, 3-1. Pontiac starter Álex Canseco was in command. The 10th-place Manatees have lost 4 straight games.
The Godfathers got a big at-bat from third baseman Juan Gonzáles. For the game, Gonzáles was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Pontiac a 2-0 lead.
