The Pontiac Godfathers turned back the Matlacha Manatees, 5-4, at Fuller Park. Ramón Martínez, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Godfathers improved their record to 42-42 by beating Matlacha.
In the first inning, Martínez had a 2-run home run for Pontiac. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Godfathers on top, 2-0.
