Mancelona turned a fine outing from starter Arturo Hernández into a victory over the Belleville Bulls at Belleville Field. The final score was 5-2 in 10 innings. The Torch go to 40-45, putting them 9th in the Menard's A.
Mancelona used the timely hitting of Frank Douglas to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Torch on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Hernández.
