Vibes Pin 5-2 Loss on Idaho Falls

The Idaho Falls Chukars could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Earnest McClure into a win. Instead, the Rocky Mountain Vibes prevailed, 5-2. McClure threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Aarto Taipale closed the game out for Rocky Mountain, earning his 21st save. Rocky Mountain is now 55-30, 5 games up in the Menard's A.
Rocky Mountain used the timely hitting of Timoteo Rodríguez to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vibes on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Rocky Mountain manager Fred Leos.
