Flamingos Get Past Montana, 2-1
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Las Vegas Flamingos and the Montana Pandas. Las Vegas won it, 2-1, in 12 innings. Las Vegas starter Júlio Mora was in command. The loss has the Pandas at 1-2.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 25-year old third baseman Andrew Waddell had a chance to be the hero. Montana pitcher Andrés Chávez had other ideas. But with one out, Waddell drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Flamingos had themselves a dramatic win.

"Júlio was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams.
