Bulls Earn 3-2 Win Against Airmen
|
The Belleville Bulls had to overcome a fine effort from Alameda pitcher David Farías to win, 3-2, at Alameda Field. Farías went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Belleville reliever Francisco Valenzuela, who is tied for 10th in the 3A in holds with 4, was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-1. Lowell Nash took the loss for Alameda. Dillon Khassanov earned the save for Belleville, his 23rd.
Second Baseman Eric Lane made an impact for Belleville, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off David Farías in the top of the fourth. For the contest, Lane went 2-4 with a triple.
"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager Gonzalo Féliz.
The current losing streak for Alameda has reached 7 games.
