Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Hawks Field.

The Rocky Mountain Vibes faced a tough opponent in Laredo pitcher Sam Hart, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Hawks Field by a final score of 8-5 in 10 innings. Hart went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The Menard's A-leading Vibes are 57-31.

The result might have been different, had it not been for slick-fielding center fielder Vernon Farr. Farr had a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Vibes ahead, 7-5. For the game, Farr had 1 double and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Vibes manager Fred Leos.
