Behind an impressive start by Luis Rojas, Pittsburgh beat Mexico City, 4-2. Rojas yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-0. Ernest Cooley notched his 1st save of the season.

The Kingfishers got an important contribution from right fielder Brian Anderson, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a sinker to center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Kingfishers ahead, 4-0.
