Santana Delivers Walk-Off Win for Generals
Washington Park was rocking after an exciting Generals win.

The Washington Generals had to overcome a fine effort from Niagara Falls pitcher Jeffrey Young to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Washington Park. Young went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Washington reliever Mason Hatcher picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Eric Hewitt absorbed the loss.

The Generals were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter José Santana turned a 0-1 changeup from Rudko Maric into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Washington Park denizens and sent the Generals home with a thrilling 4-3 win.

"Both teams played hard," said Washington manager Nathan Horton.

Washington has now won 3 straight, while the Expos have lost 6 in a row.
