Idaho Falls Earns 4-3 Win
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars beat the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-3, in part because of shortstop Fergus Woolcock. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He scored 2 runs. Mario Happ collected save number 18. The Chukars saw their win-loss record go to 43-47. At the same time, the Expos fell to 49-41.
Yoshino Kichida was 1-2 with 2 walks for Idaho Falls. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Kichida had a clutch at-bat. Facing Niagara Falls hurler John Weekhout, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Chukars a 4-3 lead.
