Slumping Godfathers Lose 6th Straight
|
Pontiac got a valiant performance from pitcher Arthur Tidwell, but it wasn't enough to beat the Idaho Falls Chukars. Idaho Falls won the game, 4-2. Tidwell threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Idaho Falls pitcher Marty Harber got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Carlos Ramos got the loss. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Pontiac.
Idaho Falls got a critical at-bat from António Medina. The second baseman stroked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
Pontiac manager John Moss said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
