Vibes Pull Out Late-Game Win, 1-0
|
Jeremy Tidwell could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Matlacha Manatees lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Bellevue Field. Jorge Félix notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-1. Tim Day picked up his 23rd save of the season.
Rocky Mountain took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Júlio Mendoza hit a clutch solo home run to bring Vibes fans to their feet.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Vibes," said Mendoza.
Rocky Mountain currently is in 10th place in the Menard's A at 40-50.
