Chukars Lose By a Run at Belleville
|
The Belleville Bulls and Idaho Falls Chukars obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
Idaho Falls second baseman António Medina had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Belleville at Belleville Field. Medina went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Belleville reliever Iván Morín picked up the win to move to 2-3. Gabriel Ijzendoorn suffered the loss.
Belleville took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Robert Wright hit a clutch grand slam home run to bring Bulls fans to their feet.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Wright said.
The 5th-place Bulls hiked their record to 51-41.
