The Belleville Bulls stopped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-3, at Belleville Field. The Bulls got a big game from Curt Clayton, who was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Lou Carlson. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 1. The Bulls sit in 6th place in the Menard's A with a record of 46-47.

Clayton had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-2 changeup from Santiago Gonzáles, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Bulls a 4-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Clayton.

Belleville manager Rafael Avelar was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
