With Late Score, Vibes Beat Airmen
|
Bryan Hall, who is tied for 6th in the 3A in complete games with 1, was in top form in a tight contest between Rocky Mountain and Alameda. The Vibes right-hander helped his team beat the Airmen, 2-1. Rocky Mountain pitcher Julien Jaffre earned the win, hiking his record to 1-2. Alejandro Cordero suffered the loss. Aarto Taipale recorded the save for Rocky Mountain, his 23rd of the season.
Rocky Mountain took a 2-1 lead on Wilbert Bradley's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Bradley hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Alameda pitcher Alejandro Cordero visibly frustrated.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Hall.
The Vibes, at 60-33, sit in first place in the Menard's A.
