The Niagara Falls Expos picked up a win at Waterfall Park, taking down the Belleville Bulls, 3-1. Starting pitcher Folkert Spoelstra was a big reason why. John Weekhout got credit for the save for Niagara Falls. It was his 2nd of the year. Niagara Falls has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Expos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when left fielder George Ayala hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Donald Hamm and made the score 2-1, Expos. Ayala was 1-4 with a walk.
