Philadelphia Liberty starter Peter Smith found his groove in his team's 10-5 win over the Long Island Lighthouse. With the loss, Long Island is 1-3.

Rhys Jeffes's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 1-1. The Philadelphia left fielder hit a run-scoring single off Steve Romero to put the Liberty up.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Smith said.
