Reapers Win at Columbia, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Grim Reapers and the Columbia River Rats, pitcher Julien Parmentier was the difference between victory and defeat. The Grim right-hander earned kudos in the 2-0 Reapers win. Parmentier got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. The win puts Grim at 7-3.
The Reapers got a big at-bat from catcher Nathan Flores. For the game, Flores went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Grim a 2-0 lead.
Flores called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
