Grey Wolves Take Tight Tangle
|
Vancouver Grey Wolves starter Juan Ibarra turned in an exceptional performance against the Buffalo White Walkers at Beyond the Wall, resulting in a Vancouver win, 2-1. Waweru Kamili, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The loss drops Buffalo to 5-3.
Vancouver used a timely hit from Pedro Morán to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Morán attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
