Crawdads Jolt Bush Pilots, 3-1, with Late Rally

The Cut Off Crawdads had to overcome a fine effort from Alaskan pitcher Larry Booker to win, 3-1, at Bush Pilots Park. Booker went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Rich Griffin came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Michael Wilson earned the save, his 1st.
Luis González came through with a big-time hit for Cut Off. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," González told the Cut Off Bulletin.
With the loss, Alaskan falls to 1-1.
