Jean Mazet Named Premier PA Player
Tuesday, September 26th , 2062
At the age of 23, Jean Mazet of the Chicago Tula could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2062 was good enough to win the first baseman the USPL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .288 batting average this year, as well as a .364 on-base percentage. He played 92 games and racked up 91 hits, 14 doubles, 1 triple, 28 home runs, 73 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Victor Haynes of the Eugene Vandals finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Bobby Rush of the Eugene Vandals finished third.
