Streaking Arryns Win Another One, 3-0
The Lake Erie Arryns defeated the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 3-0, in part because of catcher Alfonso Martínez. Martínez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Arryns. Lake Erie reliever Howard Doss picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Donald Huffman took the loss. Put-In-Bay, now 3-12, has gotten off to a terrible start.

In the top of the fifth of a scoreless game, Martínez hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Martínez. "It sure beats the alternative."
