Blaze Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
The South Beach Blaze got a superb performance from pitcher Tony Arce, but the Walla Walla Walleye still won the game, 3-1. Arce threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. With the win, Walla Walla boosts its record to 6-9.
The Walleye got a big boost from third baseman Dave Pace who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the eighth inning off Blaze hurler Orlando Díaz. It was his 13th walk of the season and put Walla Walla on top, 2-1.
"What we get, we earn," Pace told the Walla Walla News.
